The SN admin team has been discussing a unified approach to headlines submitted here at ShortNews.com We have concluded that if all headlines used the same format, the site would look much more professional. The format we will be “enforcing” is capitalizing all words except:

a, an, as, at, by, if, in, of, on, or, to, up, and, but, for, nor, the

Any headline which doesn’t follow this format will be changed by the Admin team to meet this style requirement.

The composing of the headlines is one of few opportunities to be creative in our submissions. Also, it can be a clever invitation to look more deeply at the item, not just skim it in passing.

But I think they are trying to stamp out people using thier l33t type crap and such. Iv seen a few recentlly.

I think this is a good idea.
