When The extra cost of Transportation of goods used is figured in. I would rather pay that in taxes than to give it to an Oil Company along with Tax breaks on their profits of BILLIONS.

I think the poll question is asking if it has affected your WAY of life, i.e. you´ve actually changed something in your day-to-day activities, such as your driving habits or what you purchase.
