I think I might give up

caring, about the way the United States and the rest of the world is headed to. I can´t stand this, but really, do you guys see any change in the future? Do you really, honestly, see us being able to rise up against the people who own our daily lives? Sure, back 200 years ago it would have been easy, but now that the governments can spy on us taking a shit from outside our house, I don´t see us holding ´secret meetings´ against them as a possibility anymore.

I really am close to giving up and just living a dull life that is manipulated by someone else who makes money off my depression and slavery.

Voting anymore? Whats the point, honestly. They do what they want regardless who we vote for (see: Bush). They lie straight in our faces about wanting to make the US a more peaceful country and stop getting into other country´s business then turn around and include themselves in two more fucking wars where people are dying everyday and half the US doesn´t give a rats ass until they see it the one time it is shown on the news at 6pm.

Hell, what our media cares about alone speaks volumes of how idiotic our society is: Weiner´s sexting situation. We have a war going on that seems to be coming to a conclusion but we´re starting another one because we are all about peace. Iran is threatening us (or at least Israel) with nukes now, and who cares? Take out both Israel and Palestine and make the land rich with radiation so no one can use it anymore, that´ll take care of all the future news about Israel being dicks. RIGHT?! YEAH!

I hate people who lie to me more than anything. If you don´t give a shit about me, who cares? Don´t act like you do any then turn around and be like "oh yeah, we´re doing this because we want you to be safe... don´t worry, you have nothing to worry about"

I can´t see change in the future. Well, I see it, but I don´t see any good from it. Obama is a lying sack of shit, and he will be next time around because the guy the republicans will get to run will be a piece of shit because they are scared about finding someone worth supporting. And it will continue for 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028, etc... There will be no end to our misery.

  Oh yeah

And here are some links that set me off (besides my thread no one reads anymore but I will FOREVER update)

Bilderberg topics: http://www.infowars.com/...

"The elite are concerned that the American Congress may soon turn against the illegal and immoral invasion under humanitarian cover by NATO and the UN against the north African dictator Moammar Gaddafi."

"Early last month, an especially ominous bill was introduced in the Senate. Entitled Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011, PROTECT IP for short, this legislation would use copyright infringement as a smoke screen to take down web domains and institute rolling censorship."

"On the international front, the European Commission gave a nod toward implementing the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), a draconian measure that will subvert national sovereignty, trash Net Neutrality, consumer privacy, and civil liberties. In the United States, the corporate media has virtually ignored ACTA, but then key players in the Mockingbird media are often Bilderberg attendees and privy to aspects of the agenda."

Obama saves companies, its true!: http://www.fox19.com/...

Iraq asking for more troops: http://www.reuters.com/...

"Violence is down considerably since the height of the Iraq war but security remains precarious. Five U.S. service members were killed in a rocket attack in Iraq on Monday, the worst single toll for U.S. forces there for at least two years."

That makes it OK then, as long as only one person gets shot... not noteworthy!

Libya war costs us (not Obama or the other fags who started it) more: http://www.ft.com/...

http://www.ft.com/...

"Robert Gates, the outgoing secretary of defence, said last month that the Pentagon expected to spend “somewhere in the ball park of $750m” in the 2011 fiscal year as part of efforts to protect the Libyan people."

Please respect FT.com´s ts&cs and copyright policy which allow you to: share links; copy content for personal use; & redistribute limited extracts. Email ftsales.support@ft.com to buy additional rights or use this link to reference the article - http://www.ft.com/...

"But according to a Pentagon memo which includes a detailed update on the progress and pace of operations, by mid-May US operations in Libya had cost $664m, a figure confirmed by the Department of Defence."

So we should see the war only cost us $86m more... phew... what a relief!

Whitehouse is even more determined to get rid of deficit: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/...

Funny how wanting to keep four wars going and then wanting to get the spending down works out...

No rush to end Afghanistan: http://www.washingtontimes.com/...

  And one for the world

My answer is somewhat the same just tailored to my taste.
Slice off a piece of the world that best fits you. Isolate yourself from the rest and keep a narrow channel open to link you to the rest. Help others when you can, do what you can. The piece of the world you saved for yourself will refresh you when nothing else will.

  Two things happen

with humans in life.

Either:

1 - Everyone comes together at the last minute and stands firm and fixes everything

or

2 - it all crashes and burns and we restart from the ashes.

Either way after both it all repeats itself.

You left out what I consider the most likely outcome -- things will go on much as they are, sometimes getting a bit better, sometimes getting a bit worse, until something wipes out humanity, be it a huge space rock, a plague, global warming, nuclear holocaust, or, if we´re lucky, the loss of the Earth´s atmosphere in about 3 billion years.

3 billion years? Please find something to wipe out humanity a lot sooner. Maybe before the next election?

Well, I am not too worried about the future of +100 years.

Ever read Meathouse Man by George R R Martin? That is the way I can see our society going.

More on why the US isn´t unique

http://torrentfreak.com/...

"In the United Kingdom, you can get five years in prison for not revealing a password to an encrypted data set. Even if you have forgotten it. Even if it isn’t an encrypted dataset to begin with, but recorded astronomy noise, which looks just the same. If you can’t produce the documents that law enforcement says are in there, somewhere in the noise, then off to jail you go.

In Sweden, the government has enacted laws that enable wiretapping of all your communications at any time without warrant or notice (the FRA act). In France, the government is trying to send people into social exile for sharing music. Where’s the police here, protecting our rights? We find them in the shape of activists. Governments are slowly discovering that the door to freedom swings both ways. "

  Sounds like George Carlin

I know it, but if you give up you might as well not be alive. And I do not think many of us have hundreds of years either. The next great depression will likely be here within 10 years. Also it seems that we are in the initial stages of a 3rd world war with china becoming a major player. Fukushima is also much more dangerous than is being talked about (think Chernobyl possibly times 100, if not more, when it´s all said and done).

Virtually nothing about the future is set in stone, and in your own minuscule way you can help guide end result. As I see it, after the great depression and wars people will need to rebuild. That´s the time when your ideas have the most fertile ground to take hold.
