In 2009, Amanda Knox was found guilty of killing her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Perugia, Italy and the conviction was reversed on appeal two years later. In March 2013, her acquittal was reversed.
Now an Italian court is set to issue a final ruling in the case. Knox and her former Italian boyfriend, who were accused of murdering Kercher, maintained their innocence. A third person, Rude Guede, is currently serving a 16-year sentence in an Italian prison.
Knox, now 27, is currently living in Seattle and recently became engaged. She said she won´t come back to Italy voluntarily. However, if the court upholds the conviction, she would probably be extradited to Italy.
