EU to Accuse Google of Abusing Its Power

The European Union is reportedly planning to file formal charges against Google accusing the company of violating the EU’s antitrust laws.

The EU says the dominant search engine "siphoned traffic from its competitors to its own services". Google could face fines and may have to change its business overseas.

According to an internal memo of the company, the EU decision is "very disappointing news". "We have a very strong case," the memo also says.
