Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has declared a state of emergency over a bird flu epidemic that has killed 7.3 million of birds in the country.
The highly pathogenic H5N2 bird flu has spread to 46 Minnesota farms wiping out 2.6 million birds. Dayton, however, affirms that "there´s no reason for anybody in the state of Minnesota to be concerned about their own health".
Minnesota´s health department contacted 140 farm workers and others who had been exposed to the infected birds.
