Former New York Gov. George Pataki (R) announced he will run for president in 2016.
"America has a big decision to make about who we´re going to be and what we´re going to stand for. The system is broken," Pataki said in a video message released on his website Thursday.
The 69-year-old moderate Republican, who served as governor of New York for three consecutive terms, hasn´t held office since 2007. He will formally declare his candidacy at an event Thursday morning in the small New Hampshire town of Exeter.
