Apple Music Reverses Policy After Taylor Swift Letter

Apple announced Sunday that it will pay royalties to artists and record labels for music played during a free, three-month trial of its new streaming music service after Taylor Swift published an open letter criticizing the company┬┤s policy.

In the letter titled "Dear Apple, Love Taylor", the singer explains that she is disappointed and withholds her album "1989" because Apple does not pay royalties to artists during a 90-day free trial period of the service.

"We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple," Apple executive Eddy Cue tweeted Sunday.
