Governor Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Lake and Napa counties on Sunday as the wildfires continued to destroy homes over the weekend.
Fire officials in Napa Valley say the fire is spreading faster than any other fires they have seen in the last 30 years. "It´s hard to believe what´s going on, cause I´ve never seen devastation like this," a resident told the press.
At least one person was killed and thousands of people evacuated. More than 400 homes were destroyed as fast-moving wildfires raged through Northern California.
