Police Officer Sends Flowers to Driver After Traffic Stop

A woman from Boston, Mass. received a special gift from the police officer who pulled her over for speeding after getting bad news about her mother´s health Wednesday morning.

Somerville Officer Ashley Catatao pulled over a vehicle driving 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and noticed the driver was crying. Robin Sutherland explained that she just found out her mother was being placed in hospice care.

Catatao told her to take it easy and sent her on her way. Later that day, Sutherland received a bouquet of flowers and a note which, among other things, said "I´m very sorry about your mother". It was signed "Officer who pulled you over this morning".
