California Judge: Woman Cannot Use Frozen Embryos After Divorce


A San Francisco judge has ruled that a woman must abide by an agreement with her ex-husband to destroy five frozen embryos if they got a divorce.

Superior Court Judge Anne-Christine Massullo sided with the husband even though the woman argued the embryos may be her last chance to have children after a cancer diagnosis threatened her fertility.

Mimi Lee and her ex-husband Stephen Findley had an agreement, which called for the disposal of the embryos in the event of divorce.
