A man and woman armed with assault rifles and handguns terrorized the city of San Bernardino in California on Wednesday, killing at least 14 people and wounding at least 17 at a social services center before leading the police on a manhunt.
Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, born in the U.S., and Tashfeen Malik, 27 suddenly opened fire at a Christmas party at Inland Regional Center, which serves developmentally disabled people.
Farook and Malik then fled in a black SUV followed by a chase that ended with police and the suspects exchanging gunfire. Both were shot and killed by police. Another person was detained after being seen running away from the SUV. The motive is still unclear.
