Google Spies on School Kids

According to a complaint filed by the non-profit privacy watchdog organization Electric Frontier Foundation (EFF), Google has been collecting school kids´ private information through devices like Chromebooks and services like Google Apps for Education.

EFF says it found out about the search engine giant´s questionable practices while working on its "Spying on Students" campaign.

"Despite publicly promising not to, Google mines students´ browsing data and other information, and uses it for the company´s own purposes," EFF Staff Attorney Nate Cardozo explains. Google, however, said in a statement that their tools "comply with both the law and our promises".
