Osnabrücker Tafel, a German charity, admitted to having served three senior citizens dog food by mistake. At least one of them ate the food. Another decided not to eat it because of the weird smell.
The charity claims workers mistook the dog food by Santaniello for human food due to the high-end labeling, which described the contents as "venison and potatoes with garden vegetables."
Santaniello says their food is "completely harmless to people". The Osnabrücker Tafel apologized for the incident and advises "all stations within our operations to in the future go over and check groceries more carefully".
