Study: 5.5. Million People Die From Air Pollution Each Year

Researchers at the University of British Columbia say 5.5 million people die prematurely every year due to air pollution.

"Air pollution is the fourth-highest risk factor for death, globally, and by far the leading environmental risk factor for disease. Reducing air pollution is an incredibly efficient way to improve the health of a population," the researchers say.

The majority of air pollution related deaths happen in the developing world and Asia.

  Strong but Uncogent article

I believe that this small article is a strong and uncogent argument because the conclusion of this article, which is "5.5 million people die prematurely every year due to air pollution" is a conclusion that could either be true or false; because not everyone dies from air pollution so at the end, the conclusion is questionable. Just like the conclusion the premises which are "Air pollution is the fourth-highest risk factor for death, globally, and by far the leading environmental risk factor for disease. Reducing air pollution is an incredibly efficient way to improve the health of a population," the researchers say."The majority of air pollution related deaths happen in the developing world and Asia". Are also questionable; even though one of the premises sounds like it could be just because it says "the researchers say" doesn´t actually mean that it could be something that is a true fact, that premise is being questionable also because it´s not giving the names of the "researchers".
While the other premise is just an opinion or what the author thinks. Since all of the premises and conclusion are questionable then it makes this article strong, but uncogent.
