US Marines Ready To Fight - In Pakistan?

There have been reports that the 2,200 US marines who are presently stationed on the ship USS Peleliu may well be needed in action soon, but not quite as they thought.

It is thought that they are ready to move into Pakistan in case internal problems there mean the countries nuclear weapons facilities could be in danger.

While the government has said the 30 odd weapons are "under foolproof custodial controls" there are fears that Taliban supporters could try and gain access to them.
