Beer baron Freddy Heineken has died "quietly at his home" at the age of 78. He was said to be in poor health since April last year after suffering hemorrhaging to the brain.
The man responsible for the green bottle and Heineken lable was often heard saying "I don't sell beer but gaiety" and was PR representative of the beer company before being kidnapped in the 80's. He had since then, kept a low public profile.
His daughter will now take control of Heineken Holding, which owns 50.005% of Heineken.
