Steve Jobs' Salary - 1 Dollar and an Airplane

Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple Computers, once again took a symbolic salary of $1. He did the same thing for the year 2000.

Unlike other executives, who tie their salary in with the company's performance, however, this is an indication of Jobs' preference for unusual earnings. To make up for the low salary, he received a Gulfstream V jet plus $40.5 million to cover taxes.

Other top Apple executives received 1 million stock options on top of their salaries, which range from $400,000 to $660,000.
