Apple Handheld a Hoax?

An Apple fansite called SpyMac claims to have uncovered what is causing Apple to make big claims about a new product to be revealed at the MacWorld Expo - they say it's iWalk, a handheld computer, and have posted pictures and videos as backup.

However, many readers suspect that iWalk is only a hoax. For one thing, SpyMac pulled a similar hoax last year. For another, there are subtle problems with the pictures.

Why would SpyMac do such a thing? One fan writes they do it because "this feeds egos. Look, we're all idiots, talking about their fake Apple product. Maybe they'll make Slashdot again. In addition, they want ads. Visitors attract advertisers."
