Many people have heard of courier flights as the way to get a cheap, free vacation. But is it really true?
The Washington Post Travel section assigned a reporter to find out, and the answer is: kind of. By couriering, you can often get deals on flights, but the real cheap tickets are the exception, not the rule. Normally, free fares are only last minute.
There are other downfalls to this means of travelling, like it is very difficult to travel with another person. Normally, the courier service offers only one ticket per day at that rate. Also, you must pay a fee to become a registered courier.
