Unemployment Rises In December For US

 

Last December, US unemployment rates rose to 5.8%, up 0.2 of a percentage from the previous month.

The figure was expected from Wall Street forecasts and has been interpreted by many economists as the beginning of the end of the US economic downturn.

The unemployment rate is at a 6 year high and has risen dramatically since the summer, damaging consumer confidence.
