Kimble, the founder of Young Intelligent Hackers Against Terrorism (YIHAT) was arrested by Thai police for committing investment fraud in Germany, just hours before he was scheduled to broadcast his suicide live on his website.
"Enough is Enough. Kim Schmitz will die next Monday. See it on this website live and for free. When the countdown is over, Kim steps into a new world and wants you to see it," his website declared. He intended to die on his 28th birthday.
Kimble, who had said at one point that he was worth $100 million, had sunk into debt and was being hounded by creditors. He faces a trial next week, where Thai authorities will decide whether or not he should be extradited to Germany for prosecution.
