Blair to ban Day of Defeat?

The News Of The World Newspaper reports that The UK Culture Dept has plans afoot to ban all games containing Nazi symbolism; such as Day Of Defeat and Return To Castle Wolfenstein for fear that they may stir up racial hatred and facism.

The source at the Culture Dept seems to view such games as that favourite Ministerial catchall; "a threat to our children", and a crusade to ban the games will possibly take place.

Day Of Defeat programmer Matt Boone was quoted as saying that a specific version without the Nazi symbolism was already being developed, but that the games merely reflect the period in which they were based.

  This could be false?

News Of the World is a tabloid which will print almost anything and the link to this story does not work. I'm dying to find out if this is true or not.

  Apologies

Yes, the original link was bad, but ADMIN has re-posted it for me with a correct link. Sorry about that.

  Why?

It's not as if the Nazi party is still in power. Anyone willing to refer to present day Germans as Nazi's has far more problems than banning a game can fix.
