Black Americans End 10 Year Tourism Boycott Of Miami

A 10 year old boycott of the city of Miami by Black Americans has been formally ended following the opening of hotel that is totally Afro-American owned and run.

The boycott began after Cuban leaders there refused to give Nelson Mandela the freedom of the city because they accused him of supporting Fidel Castro.

That decision marred racial relations in the city and lead to the plan to open the hotel. It is thought the city lost $50 million a year due to the boycott.
