AOL, Time-Warner Merger Looks Good

With a ruling due any day from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission about Time Warner and AOL's proposed merger, the deal is looking like it may get the go ahead.

Both companies have now agreed to open their cablelines to competitors as the final step to gaining approval. The deal would be the largest media merger ever.

One analyst even said: "I do think you'll see the merger approved by the FTC" and then the "FCC and we hope that it will close by the end of the year or early next year."
