Mexican President Salinas Funneled $200 Million to Brother

Former Mexican president Carlos Salinas funneled some $200 million dollars to his brother who is currently serving a prison term for the shooting death of Francisco Ruiz Massieu, a top PRI official.

The government set up a $2 billion secret slush fund for the president to support the ruling party, PRI. That party controlled Mexico for some 71 years.

Mexican authorities have been attempting to recover some $114 million in missing funds believed to be held by Raul Salinas in Swiss bank accounts. Raul Salinas remains under investigations for various charges.
