Clyde Odum III, 41, died from a heroin overdose. Odum was a counselor for teenagers suffering from problems related to substance abuse. Odum had worked as a counselor for 2 years and advised teenagers with depression, ADD and schizophrenia.
Rick Marsilio, the executive director of the Ephrata SummittQuest Academy, where Odum worked, says he was not aware of Odum's personal drug abuse problem. The center is a residential unit specializing in mental health.
A friend of Odum's called the police on Saturday night to Odum's home in Little Britain, Philadelphia.
