Redskins Name New Coach

The Washington Redskins have named Marty Schottenheimer as their new coach, hoping that his impressive record will help turn around their losing team.

Schottenheimer can boast the seventh-highest regular-season winning percentage ever in the NFL, a very attractive number to a team that didn't even make the playoffs, despite having the highest payroll in NFL history.

Schottenheimer had worked for ESPN before returning to coaching, and had criticized the management style of the new Redskins owner, Dan Snyder. Now he seems to have come to terms with it "Dan Snyder is committed to winning and so am I," he said.
