Oklahoma Win Orange Bowl - Shut Out Florida State

Oklahoma won college footballs prized Orange Cup yesterday by denying Florida State the opportunity to score in a largely defensive match. Oklahoma won 13-2, with the 2 coming only in the last minute.

The defense from Oklahoma was too much for Florida, who until this game had been the best attacking team in the competition averaging 42 points a game.

The win gives Oklahoma its 7th national Championship since 1950.
