Battle for $1.5 Million Baseball to End

Last year, there was a battle in the bleachers to catch Barry Bonds record-setting 73rd home run. Tommorrow, a jury will decide who gets to keep the ball which is estimated to be worth $1.5 million.

Alex Popov, who owns a vegetarian restaurant, had caught the ball initially but it fell out when a mob of people bum rushed him for the ball. Patrick Hayashi managed to battle hard enough to retrieve and keep the ball.

Popov's lawyer says: "The time has come for us to decide - do we want our national pastime to be governed by the laws of the jungle, kill or be killed?" Hayashi's lawyers used an 1805 fox hunting case to say Popov did not have a legal catch.
