Shoe Bomber Pleads Guilty

 

Richard Reid pled guilty Friday in a US District court to 8 charges, resulting from his attempt explode a bomb hidden in his shoe on an trans-Atlantic flight.

Judge William Young accepted the plea and refused to change the wording in the indictment that indicated that Reid was trained by al Qaeda.

Reid faces a minimum sentence of 60 years in prison, with a maximum sentence of life in prison.
