The Dracula theme park which was to be built in Vlad the Impaler's home town of Sighisoara (SN reported) will now be built in Romania's capital Bucharest. Authorities in Sighisoara have now withdrawn their support for the park.
The decision as to where the park should be built was based on a report from PriceWaterhouse Coopers, an international consultancy company. The report said that a site near the capital would attract more visitors.
The park should open by 2004, and it is hoped that 3000 new jobs will be created in the $30m theme park.
