"You started this shi#"

A land feud in Durham, England, has turned ugly after neighbors stopped the sale of William Johnson's property. The property, 59.8 acres, was to be bought by Beazer Homes to be turned into 232 houses, but residents complained about the planned homes.

Johnson, who has already evicted the tenant of 20 years from the property, was to get almost $2m from the sale. Now the property is left empty and the city has fined him for having a non-boarded up vacant house and a weedy lot.

Finally Johnson decided to vent his anger and put up bright green signs outside the house to tell his neighbors how he feels:

"You started this shi#"
"Keep the F### out"
"The £1.2m look"

and one bright orange hand with middle finger raised.

  ah well population explosion..

no ones any more worthy to sit around with 60 unused acres than anyone else.. put in houses and give 1000 people a nice area to live.

  no guys

you dont understand ... there are only 2 classes in england... the rich and the poor. Now this guy OWNS land.. that makes him rich... and landowners in England are basically the law.
Let me explain that point; we have no bill of rights in England, in fact we have a bill of no rights, called the criminal justice act. This was brought in by rich landowners to stop travellers (gypsys) from stopping on their land. (see battle of the beanfield)but also included other little know robberies of rights like: stopping freedom of speech, the right to travel, enforcing the right to vote come only with payment of a "roof" tax - so basically the homeless cannot vote.. and I could go on and on.. but anyways why do you think this guy has not been arrested yet? Do you think that 4 signs of this nature on YOUR front lawn would not bring the police to your door? This guy is rich, he has a "lawyer", he is well connected. That land will be sold, it will have houses on it... there will be bribery and blackmail... because they are rich, and they can do that.

  there wasnt

“What we - the ITN camera crew and myself as a reporter - have seen in the last 30 minutes here in this field has been some of the most brutal police treatment of people that I’ve witnessed in my entire career as a journalist. The number of people who have been hit by policemen, who have been clubbed whilst holding babies in their arms in coaches around this field, is yet to be counted...There must surely be an enquiry after what has happened today”.
