A land feud in Durham, England, has turned ugly after neighbors stopped the sale of William Johnson's property. The property, 59.8 acres, was to be bought by Beazer Homes to be turned into 232 houses, but residents complained about the planned homes.
Johnson, who has already evicted the tenant of 20 years from the property, was to get almost $2m from the sale. Now the property is left empty and the city has fined him for having a non-boarded up vacant house and a weedy lot.
Finally Johnson decided to vent his anger and put up bright green signs outside the house to tell his neighbors how he feels:
"You started this shi#"
"Keep the F### out"
"The £1.2m look"
and one bright orange hand with middle finger raised.
