Agassi Takes Australian Open Title

Andre Agassi has won his 7th grand slam title and his 2nd back to back Australian Open with a straight sets victory over Frenchman Arnaud Clement.

The 6-4 6-2 6-2 victory came after both players indulged in superb baseline play, but it was Agassi's finishing that sealed the victory for him.

Clement had been the first Frenchman to compete in the Australian final since 1928. Agassi later said of his victory "This was truly a thrill and I will never forget this."
