CD Price Fixing to Be Investigated

After fears in Europe that the major record companies are conspiring to keep CD prices artificially high an investigation is to be carried out by the European Commission.

There are fears that Sony, Bertelsmann and EMi, among others, are sharing information about prices so that they are kept high at the expense of the consumer.

Just last May, similar suspicions lead to a number of major US companies being fined for price fixing.
