Half of All British Children Own a Mobile

The mobile phone has become a phenomenum in Britain with new research showing that half of all children aged between 7 and 16 own one.

And 77% of 14 - 16 years olds have a mobile with text messaging being their favoured way of communicating.

Around 66% of the British population now own a mobile.
