An 18 year old German student cut off his tongue and penis with a pair of gardening shears while high on a powerful hallucinogenic drug called Angels Trumpet. Neither body parts could be successfully re-attached after he was submitted to hospital.
The teenager, from Halle in Germany, went into the garden of his parents house and returned a few minutes later with blood pouring from his wounds. Doctors say he will require years of psychological help if he is to recover from the ordeal.
Angels Trumpet, often taken in the form of tea, is currently sweeping Germany as the latest drug craze but is described as extremely dangerous, as its intake cannot be controlled in a dosed form.
