15-year-old murderer in Florida convicted

A 15-year old, John Silva, who killed a 12-year-old friend in Florida has been convicted of first degree murder. He had gagged Jerry Lee Alley Jr with an electric cord.

Next to the dead body of Allen that was found two days after the crime in a dry septic tank pit police found a note that shows that Silva had plotted the murder: the "list to prepair Jarey" said things like "strip to underwear" and "gag".

The victims family said to Silva's family in court: "I'm just sorry we both lost sons to this. It's a shame. This didn't have to happen at all." Silva himself has shown guilt but he will probably nevertheless be sentenced to life in prison.
