Foster replaced by Ullmann at Cannes

Norwegian actress and director Liv Ulmmann will replace U.S. actress Jodie Foster and will lead the jury at this year's Cannes Film Festival that will take place in the french Riviera resort from May 9-20.

Judie Foster had to pull out because she is going to replace Nicole Kidman in the movie "Panic Room". Kidman withdrew from the movie due to injury.

Liv Ullmann was born in 1939 in Tokyo and gained international fame after appearing in films by Swedish director Ingmar Bergman such as "Shame," "Cries and Whispers" and "Scenes from a Marriage".
