Tesco, the UK's largest supermarket chain, has announced many price cuts which will start on Monday. The cuts apply across over 600 products, including babywipes, medicines and toothpaste. The price cuts are part of a cost cutting campaign.
Tesco expanded its sales divide between Safeway and Sainsbury's throughout 2003, and has now set its sights on Boots, its last rival in the UK. The cuts sit at an average of 8% on every product.
