83-year-old Fran Lasee has become the oldest man in the United States to bowl a 3 game series over 800. Lasee bowled 30 out of 36 strikes, scoring 834 at the Aurora BayCare Senior Classic.
Previously, the oldest man to bowl a 800 - plus series had been 77. Lasee bowls four times a week and has an average of over 200. He was entered into the Green Bay Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1979.
His previous high score series was in 1992, where he a bowled an 826. Lasee said: "I thought I did my best then. But it came back again. I was quite surprised (at the 834). I had really good (pin) carry. Everything I threw up there seemed to carry."
