Parrots Verbal Skills Leaves Scientists Speechless

An African grey parrot named N'kisi is amazing scientists with his mastery of vocabulary and use of humour. He even invents new words or phrases to enable him to express himself when faced with new situations.

He can speak a total of 950 words and appears to use his intelligence to add humour to his remarks and can even speak in past, present or future tense. For example, when he met chimp expert Dr Jane Goodall he said "Got a chimp?".

Tests have been successfully carried out to determine whether he uses the correct keywords with the consistency required to confirm parrots as possibly being so highly developed that they may require special attention to meet their needs.

"N'kisi is believed to be one of the most advanced users of human language in the animal world."

this is just a tad embarassing since humans belong to the animal world too. well put, human! i dunno, maybe the writer was being incredibly witty.
