Two CNN Employees Die in Baghdad

A drive-by shooting in Baghdad, Iraq, has claimed the lives of two CNN employees, translator/producer Duraid Isa Mohammed and driver Yasser Khatab. Cameraman Scott McWhinnie was also hurt in the attack.

The CNN team were in a two car convey, returning from filming in the city of Hilla. They were ambushed from behind, a gunman firing a AK-47 rifle out of a car's sunroof. The gunman also hit the first car of the convoy.

The first car managed to reach an Iraqi police station, and officers went back to the site of the shooting and found the second car had come off the road, the deceased still inside.
