Janet Jackson New Search-Engine-Icon - Beats 9/11

The Super Bowl´s breast-controversy made Janet Jackson the new search-engine-icon as most-searched-for event in Internet history, beating even the old one-day benchmarks of 9/11. Most used search phrases were "Super Bowl halftime" or "Janet Jackson".

Search engine Lycos affirmed, Janet Jackson´s halftime-show exposure received 60 times as many search requests as the Paris Hilton sex tape and 80 times as many search requests as Britney Spears.

Allthough nobody really knew what to look for on 9/11, giving a wide range of search terms, all of them together brought only less than half as many search requests as for Janet Jackson and the Super Bowl halftime show.

  That Speaks Volumes

about our modern day society. So basically nothing more important than JJ's boob has happened since 9/11? I'm sure it has, let me think......

Oh, btw I think the story goes in the paragraphs, not the news title ;)

to the original title. Please try and keep those titles short and brief :)

Said it to boolie a moment ago...

That new one bares this sparkling BN-Headline-mood, but ok...*fg* My suggestion would have been "Janet Jackson new search-engine-icon - Beats 9/11"

  @ BreakingNews

This is what you suggessted to me ;)"Janet Jackson new search-engine-icon - Beats 9/11 (in search requests)"

Without the (in search requests) it's okay.

  Pathetic

I, personally, am sick and tired of hearing about it. Heck, I was tired of it after hearing about it the first time. To me, it's just a low class publicity stunt that would only appeal to masturbating teens and losers with nothing better in their lives. I'm tired of hearing radio personalities say "you know, I don't want to talk about Janet Jackson anymore, so I'm not mentioning it" and not getting the idea that they ARE mentioning it. This has been the biggest non-issue of the new year, and it doesn't seem like it's slowing down. And, ironically enough, continuing to report on it is just keeping it alive. Let's just let this obvious and juvenille attempt to get attention fade away like the bad memory it is. This day I'm even more glad I don't give a rat's tookus about any sport in existence...that prevented me from seeing this mess firsthand.

  Search Engines

Does nobody else find it a little discontenting that these search engines have records of each search, and are able to measure these kinds of statistics?

I know, it's really trivial... But still...

  i googled it

I am ashamed to admit it but I googled it. I am one of those millions of people who thought this was more newsworthy that 9/11. BUT in my defense, I wasn't sure what exactly I had seen durring the Super Bowl and they digitally blurred it out on the news. Some people were saying she had a pasty, others were saying her nipple was pierced....

I HAD TO KNOW!
