Father Of Queen Of Netherlands Says No Nazi Links

Prince Bernhard, father of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, has come out after a 50 year silence to strongly deny that he considered collaborating with the Nazis during World War II.

Bernhard, himself of German birth, has been accused of offering his services to the German occupiers of his country when the Allied operations at Arnhem were taking place.

He goes on to deny that members of his family were sympathetic to the Nazis and also to refute allegations of him having an affair with friend Lady Ann Orr Lewis or his personal assistant.
