British Police abuse human rights

Anti-war protesters have won a High Court battle with Gloucestershire Police over their decision to detain them and escort them back to London - preventing them attending a demonstration over the war in Iraq.

The protesters were travelling in three coaches to RAF Fairford in England, when they were stopped by the police. Their coaches were searched, and the police prevented them from attending the protest, and escorted them back to London.

The court ruled that the police abused common law by detaining the demonstrators for over two hours, and that the protesters' detention could have been in breach of the European Convention on Human Rights.

  Give the Police Some Power
The Police force may as well do nothing. They get moaned at for doing anything.

I for one would like to see them enforce things from time to time. People should not be able to get away with playing the Political Correctness, Human Rights or Race card.
