Californian Democrat Maxine Waters says that the former Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide claims that he was kidnapped by the US military and diplomats and that he did not resign as officially reported.
Walters says that Aristide insists "The world must know it was a coup. That I was kidnapped. That I was forced out. That's what happened. I did not resign. I did not go willingly. I was forced to go."
The ousted leader is currently in transit in the Central African Republic capital of Bangui. Randall Robinson, former head of TransAfrica, has come forward with similar allegations.
