Ricin Found In Washington Apartment

Robert M Alberg is in FBI custody following the discovery of Ricin in his Washington apartment. He has been charged with one count of possession of a toxin or biological agent. Alberg is being held pending today's hearing.

An FBI spokesperson told KING-TV yesterday that "It is enough that it could cause concern that it could harm someone - could kill someone." Alberg, 37, is autistic according to court documents.

Sources for the federal criminal justice department said that it is believed that Alberg was not actually going to use the Ricin, and that his possession of the toxin was not politically motivated. He was arrested on Friday.
