Mordechai Vanunu has been released after serving 18yrs in an Israeli prison for exposing information about the Dimona nuclear reactor to the Sunday Times in 1986.
Ths lead to independent estimates that Israel held 100-200 nuclear warheads.
Mr Vanunu was kidnapped from Rome by Mossad agents and convicted of treason and espionage in a closed trial.
He still has restrictions prohibiting him from leaving Israel, approaching ports, or talking to foreigners for the next 6 months.
His brother, Meir Vanunu, claims that Mordechai has been the target of a campaign of vilification by the Israeli government.
Vanunu's uncle, Hertl Haliwa, said, "He's family, but I want to slash his throat and drink his blood. He is a fascist."
