Tennis: Fastest Serve Record Broken

Australian tennis player, Andy Roddick, has beaten his own record for the fastest serve. He served a 153 mph ace at the Queen's Club grass-court tournament today. He was playing a match against Paradorn Srichaphan, which he won 6-3, 6-3.

"I wasn't trying to hit it any harder than normal and I didn't really realize until the crowd started cheering and I saw Paradorn smiling," Roddick said. "I was surprised because it was against the wind and I didn't think I had that in me."

Roddick has improved on his record three times this year now. He hit a 150 mph serve during a Davis Cup match back in Febuary, and a 152 mph serve during a Davis Cup match in April.

  Amazing speed, but scary!

I played tennis a bit in my day, but man that could really really hurt somebody, and how in the hell can you return that?

Tennis of the future.... speed contest since no one can return any serves no more....
